Logo design tips
When a potential client sees your logo, they should be able to gain an idea of what your business is and what it can do for them. Here are tips to help you improve your logo design while keeping the look professional.
Know who your target audience is. What is the typical age group of your customer? What are their interests? Choose a design theme and colors that will appeal to them.
Consider how your logo will be used. On printed materials (like business cards) or mainly online? Color limitations on the web may make it hard to match your logo on your website to business cards and stationary. Limiting colors used in the design can help prevent this problem from occurring. Avoid bright, blinding colors.
Keep the design of the logo simple and clean.
Use clipart images sparingly and only to emphasize what your business does.
Choose fonts wisely. There are many “cool” looking fonts available, but many are hard to read. Just because you know what your logo says, does not mean everyone else will. And since you want other people to notice your business… you get the point.
