The company that puts out The Logo Creator software (which I am always recommending to anyone looking to create their own professional logo for less) just released a new program called Web Graphics Creator.
Web Graphics Creator allows you to design logos, page headers, website buttons, ebook covers and more. Creating the images is a breeze, simply select the image you wish to use, add text and save the image to use on your website. No design skills are necessary to use this program.
From the website: “Choose from over 150 pre-designed templates. Modify the templates by changing graphics, text, fonts import your own images - or choose one of the built in objects like Orbs and Swooshes. There’s over 1500 to choose!”
The ebook cover creator is worth the price alone (currently $39.95).

Here are some of my favorite places online to download free fonts.
